Myriad, Scrap, Visionary, and Scatterbrain were brought in for questioning by F.L.A.G., who wanted to know how they got their powers.

Slingshot managed to escape, and met F.L.A.G. agent Augie Ford at Maddie's apartment. Augie appeared to have his own agenda, and offered to help Slingshot break into F.L.A.G. headquarters and free her friends. But the second they got inside, Augie betrayed Slingshot and announced to his boss that he was delivering the final member of Dynamo 5.

Meanwhile, Maddie learned that the person posing as Captain Dynamo was really a young woman called Synergy, who was the offspring of Cap and Chrysalis, Cap's archenemy. Synergy -- who inherited ALL of Cap's powers -- moved in to kill Maddie, but Maddie injected herself with a syringe and suddenly changed into a creature called Whiptail!
