Quake, an old colleague of Captain Dynamo's, had gone off his meds, which caused him to suffer hallucinations and to lash out violently with his seismic powers.

Maddie coached Myriad on how to impersonate Captain Dynamo, her thinking being that Quake would listen to his old friend, and they could get Quake under control non-violently. Things went according to plan and "Captain Dynamo" showed up right on cue and talked Quake down.

Then Captain Dynamo flew off ... and the Dynamo 5 kids realized that whoever was just talking to Quake wasn't Captain Dynamo.
